Rebuilding images using traditional drawing.

‘I attempt to develop images by using traditional drawing and painting. I then distort, erase or even destroy them. Several layers later an image appears that will potentially be interesting enough for me to decide that it is complete.

I don’t know why I am mainly attracted to the figure as a subject. Maybe because it was the main subject throughout the history of art and life drawing classes I attended as a student in Greece.

It is helpful to belong to a community that shares a very similar form of artistic expression, and I am very excited to be able to exchange ideas and participate in future projects for DF ART PROJECT.’
